VERIFICATION EXPLAINED

How Business
Verification Works

SaudaNama uses an 8-step process combining government APIs, human review, and physical presence audits to produce a server-authoritative Trust Score you can rely on.

3–5 Business Days
Government API Cross-Checks
Trust Score 0–100

The 8-Step Verification Process

STEP 01

Business Registration

The business owner fills a 7-step form with legal name, GSTIN, CIN, physical address, contact details, and establishes year.

STEP 02

AI Pre-Check

Our AI engine performs a rapid risk assessment — checking for name inconsistencies, suspicious patterns, and missing mandatory fields before human review.

STEP 03

Government API Cross-Check

We directly query the official GST API and MCA registry to verify GSTIN active status, CIN corporate identity, and Udyam MSME registration — without relying on self-reported claims.

STEP 04

Owner Identity KYC

The authorized signatory provides government identity documents (PAN, Aadhaar) to establish that the person claiming the business is the actual registered owner or authorized representative.

STEP 05

Physical Presence Audit

Submitted address is cross-checked against GST/MCA registered address. Geo-coordinates and storefront photos or video walkthroughs confirm the business physically operates at the stated location.

STEP 06

Storefront Evidence

Sellers upload storefront videos, factory floor photos, or office signage images as visual proof of active operations — reducing the risk of shell business fraud.

STEP 07

Trust Score Calculation

The server-authoritative Trust Score engine calculates a score (0–100) based on verified evidence: up to 40 pts for government records, 30 pts for owner KYC, and 30 pts for physical presence. Scores cannot be self-reported.

STEP 08

Digital Trust Passport Issuance

Upon successful verification, a unique Digital Trust Passport is issued. It contains the business name, Trust Score, verification pillars, and a public verification URL that anyone can check.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does verification take?

Most verifications complete within 3–5 business days from payment. Complex cases requiring additional information may take up to 10 business days.

What if my GSTIN is recently registered?

GST API may have a 2–4 week delay for newly registered GSTINs. You can provide your GST registration certificate as alternate evidence and we will manually verify.

Can a business be re-verified?

Yes. Verified status is periodically re-checked against live government APIs. Significant changes to GST or MCA status may trigger automatic re-verification.

Is my Trust Score publicly visible?

Yes. The Trust Score, verification pillars, and Digital Trust Passport are publicly visible. The underlying evidence documents are private and never shown publicly.

What if my address changed since GST registration?

You must first update your address with the GST authority. Once the government record reflects the new address, our verification can proceed.

Can I share my Trust Passport?

Yes — the Trust Passport has a unique public URL (e.g. saudanama.com/verify/SN-TP-XXXXX) that anyone can visit to confirm your verification status. Ideal for sharing with buyers.
